Halloween officially began for us on Friday evening. Sophie came up to my office to show off her awesome pig costume and go trick-or-treating. She caught on right away to that idea - at each office that she went in - she got a treat. She soon fell in love with Dum Dums and chocolate.
On Saturday morning, my little piggy attended a party organized by her daycare. She was a little hesitant when we first got there. Tons of people and in a small room = a little overwhelming. Plus, all of her friends were in costumes and a bit unrecognizable. As the party continued and she got a little food in her belly, she got more adventurous, but was ready to go home and nap by the end of the festivities.
Sunday was gorgeous, minus the chilly temps! Luckily her costume was well insulated and helped contain heat! After her experience on Friday, she became a trick or treating pro as soon as we set off! She was joined by her friends Liam and Carys and had so much fun! She loves candy! We actually did not give her that much at all, she just loved all the colorful packaging and the small size of each piece and the way she was able to carry it all in her little pumpkin bucket. She had so much fun looking, sorting and getting a little taste of those little candy pieces. For two days after Halloween, she wanted her bucket from the counter top so that she could carry it around the house and look at everything in it. Luckily, the fun of that wore off and she hasn't looked for it since...although thanks to her mom those candies have begun to disappear!
