It is horrible it has taken me over a month to write a new post!
In the last month, I have changed accounts at work and just feel overwhelmed, busier, and just want to lay around after Sophie goes down. I am absolutely spent - until I get in the swing of things. So sorry for the delay in new posts!
Anyway, Sophie and I just got back from Florida this past Tuesday and we had an absolute ball. Post to come about our trip..but somewhere along our journey we caught a bug. March has not been kind to mom. Earlier this month, I had a nasty stomach bug that kept me out of commission for about a week. And now - I am sick again! And so is Sophie! I am feeling much better, so decided to finally write about how we re doing up here in Wheaton, IL.
Sophie is growing like a weed. She has finally discovered she can also say the word "no" - can't believe it took her this long! And it seems like that is all we hear right now. She is also saying short sentences, such as "where are you?", "Max water", "more milk", "milk please", "I love you Mommy/Daddy", the list goes on. She loves to talk on her phone and will have complete conversations while on it. She loves to sing. She loves her new Hello Kitty Rainboots and will fight to the death to wear them out of the house every day. She is very girly - she loves jewelry, makeup, bows, clothes and shoes. But at the same time, she is tough and spirited and ready to play with the best of them.
The 'Terrible Twos' are also in full swing at our house - besides hearing "no" as every other word out of her mouth, she is an expert temper tantrum thrower and is incredibly stubborn when she wants to be. But then she bats those eyes and her dad melts.
It's amazing to sit and think you created this little person and to watch her grow and learn and discover something new each and every day.
