Where have the last 2 years gone? It seems like it has been such a whirlwind as we have gotten to know our baby girl. The day she was born, we knew she would rule our world and she has. She is an amazing, loving little girl and we are so lucky to have her.
Some stats on Sophie ...
Likes:
Her mom, her dad, her dog Max, her cat Chloe, her binkies (blankets), books, Elmo, playing in the basement with her babies or kitchen, sweeping the house, getting chased by the vacuum, playing outside, going for walks, picking up rocks, spotting airplanes, helicopters and trains, going over train tracks ("big bump"), reaching up on the counter top in the kitchen to either a) see what she can pull down or b) show you how big she is and set something up there, seeing her out of state family, eating jellybeans, ice cream or anything sweet, cereal, snuggling on the couch, coloring, singing
Dislikes:
Not as many dislikes as likes, but to name a few: Abby's Flying Fairy School on Sesame Street (hates it! gets upset until you fast forward through it), eating a balanced meal, brushing teeth, being told "no"
To always remember:
She always says please and thank you, bless you when you sneeze, excuse me (sometimes) when she needs your attention, she tries every word at least once, speaking in 2-4 word sentences, she makes the same noise when she kisses you that she gives for hugs "mmmmmp", she calls me "mom or mommy" and grandma "mama", she calls herself "baby" when asked her name with a smile, she prefers mommy to to be the last one to hold her and lay her down in bed, she is fast and when she gets going she is hard to catch, her dad thinks she has mom's legs, she is tough and yet still girly at the same time, she is still sucking her thumb but only when she is tired or hurt, chasing the dog with her baby doll stroller around the house, grabbing the dog and cats tails, snuggling with mom and dad - but especially dad in the morning, most mornings she asks where daddy is when I go in to get her, that she is happily content hanging in bed until everyone else is awake, will memorize her books so that she can read them back herself, her smile when you pick her up from daycare, her grip when you drop her off (although the grip is usually reserved for Monday), her giggles, and her sweet voice when she tells you she loves you
Happy birthday Sophie Jeanne! We love you too!
