Today we took Sophie to get her first real haircut! Not that her hair was out of control, but she was developing a slight mullet in which the back left and right sides were getting longer than the rest of it. So we took her in so that it could get trimmed up and evened out. We headed over to KidSnips - which is a hair salon totally geared towards little ones. They told us to go pick out a video of our choice - thank god they had Elmo Pets! - and then we waited until her hairdresser was ready for her. Elmo went into the TV on the counter and Sophie got strapped into the little car which served as her seat. As soon as Elmo started - she was in heaven. She paid no attention to the fact someone was cutting her hair. She did great! We were so proud of her for not throwing a fit or giving the hair lady a hard time. She was perfect! After her hair was all trimmed, she got to pick out the hair accessory of her choice (little white rubberband/scrunchy thing) and was given pigtails. She looks gorgeous as always!
