As most of you know from the Shutterfly email, we went apple picking a couple of weekends ago and Sophie absolutely loved it!
We headed out to Jonamac Orchard in Malta, Illinois on a dreary Saturday morning. Malta is about 1 hour west of our house. We first visited Jonamac last September around the exact same time with Sophie. She was 13 weeks old. Amazing how much she has changed since then. Let's do a little walk down memory lane to see how much Sophie has changed...

This year, Sophie actually had the chance to "participate" in collecting those apples and really enjoyed doing so! She loved pointing out the "yucky" rotten apples on the ground and we were so glad that some of the trees had apples for picking low to the ground so that she could walk right up and try to snatch an apple off of a branch. She also had a great time in her wagon and being pulled down each aisle. The wagon came in very handy. Not only did it contain Sophie, but also the diaper bag and all the apples!
We are thinking that apple picking may become a new family tradition - after all - we've done it the last two years and we have a little one that had a blast. We had such a fun afternoon. I can't wait for our next adventure - the pumpkin patch!
